On May 13， a delegation led by Muthupandian Ashokkumar， Assistant Deputy Vice Chancellor International of the University of Melbourne， Australia， visited Shandong University．

5月13日，澳大利亞墨爾本大學副校長Muthupandian Ashokkumar一行來訪山東大學。

Yi Fan， Vice President of Shandong University， stated，＂Shandong University has maintained long－term friendly relations and cooperation with the University of Melbourne， achieving fruitful results． We hope to leverage our respective strengths to further deepen our cooperation in such fields as chemistry and physics．＂ Furthermore， he suggested fully utilizing R＆D project platforms and resources for international cooperation to promote the construction of long－term research cooperation platforms such as an international cooperation research center between the two universities， to enhance exchanges and interactions among teachers and students， and to explore joint training programs at undergraduate， master＇s， and doctoral levels， with a view to writing a new chapter for the cooperation and exchange in higher education between China and Australia．

山東大學副校長易凡表示，山東大學與澳大利亞墨爾本大學長期友好合作，并取得豐碩成果，希望雙方發揮各自優勢，繼續深化在化學、物理等領域的合作，充分利用國際合作科研項目平臺和資源，推動兩校國際合作研究中心等科研合作長效平臺建設，增進師生交流互動，探索本、碩、博多層次聯合培養，為中澳高等教育交流合作書寫新篇章。
